Private sleuths to probe Hillary Gardee's murder - Malema
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
EFF leader Julius Malema says they have hired private sleuths to investigate Hillary Gardee's murder.
"Majority of people who are arrested were arrested through our intervention, the latest being somewhere in Witbank," he told a media conference on Monday.
"It looked like something that had to do with a ritual and therefore, I will not be personally shocked when there is muthi involved and all manner of things, because where they stabbed her body, it was now going beyond the issues of murder and rape."
The 28-year-old daughter of the party's former secretary-general Godrich Gardee was found dead outside Nelspruit earlier this month after going missing.

She had last been seen three days earlier at a supermarket in the Mpumalanga city.
Three men have been arrested in connection with her murder.
Malema said there's a missing piece of the puzzle.
"We know that when she arrived at the lodge, what happened and all manner of things, but from the shops to how she hot captured and how she arrived at the lodge and who captured her that details is still missing and that is what we are on top of."
