Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
The Public Servants Association is urging eThekwini
Municipality to speed up repairs on damaged infrastructure in Umlazi.

The local Prince Mshiyeni Hospital has been without water for weeks.
Essential infrastructure in and around Durban was damaged or destroyed in last month's floods, leaving the public hospital with no clean, running water.

The institution - one of the busiest in Durban - was left with no option but to rely on tankers.
The PSA's Mlungisi Ndlovu says the water supply problem needs urgent attention, as the hospital treats around a thousand outpatients every day.
"We appreciate what the department has done providing over 30 jojo tankers so that employees and patients do have water.
"What have noticed, though, is that the hospital won't operate normally if they not fixing the situation. Yes, the department is providin water but its not enough."
