Possible name change for SA airports

Four South African airports could undergo a name change.

This come as Airports Company South Africa has announced that it's seeking public comment and proposals by the 6th of June for the renaming of four national and international airports in South Africa.
,Cape Town International Airport, East London Airport Port Elizabeth International Airport and Kimberley Airport are subject to renaming as part of government's Transformation of Heritage Landscape programme.
Cape Town International Airport could be changed to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela International Airport while Port Elizabeth International Airport could become known as Nelson Mandela International.

Christian Martin who is the Chairperson of Social Development in the Eastern Cape says they would welcome the move.
"There's going to be a statue of Nelson Mandela in the Metro. There are streets and buildings named after Nelson Mandela - internationally - it won't do any damage to his name and what he's done for the country," he said.
