DA calls on Cele to probe possible serial killer in KZN
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the province is calling for Police Minister, Bheki Cele to assemble a task team to investigate and swiftly arrest a possible serial killer on the loose in Mthwalume on the South Coast.

This, after the bodies of three women were found dumped in a sugarcane field.
KZN police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says in the first incident, the bodies of siblings - a 16 and a 25-year-old - were found by a group of hunters in late April after they went missing in March.
Another woman was found stabbed to death in the same area last month.

DA councillor in the Ugu North area, Leonard Ngcobo says the community is living in fear.
"There is a possibility of a serial killer because the manner in which these young women are killed, seems to be the same or they are similar.
"They are found to have multiple stab wounds and also the postmortem report reveals that they were also raped and further to that they are dumped in the same place, in the same sugarcane field," says Ngcobo.
