Updated | By ECR Newswatch
A family in Port Shepstone is appealing for the safe return of their three-year-old son who has been missing for six days.
Police have turned to communities for help as they investigate what happened to Sphumeleo Ncama.
His mother says he was playing with other children near a tuck-shop in Louisiana on Friday before his disappearance.
He was wearing a pair of lime-green check shorts, a lime green T-shirt and a brown and red striped jacket.

Police say they were told a man, a traditional healer from the Eastern Cape, was last seen with the toddler.
Acting on the information, officers then held a search in Bizana in the Eastern Cape on Sunday but were later told that the man had run away.
Sphumelelo's father says he is praying that his son is still alive.
"When I think of my child's whereabouts my heart gets very sore because I don't know if he is eating, if he is warm, or safe. As a parent I am broken - why did they take my child, why was he targeted? I'm crying right now because I can't sleep or function. I don't know where my child is, or if he is still alive," he said.
Anyone with information on little Sphumelelo's whereabouts have been urged to contact police.
