Poor management to blame for oncology crisis: KZN Health

The National Health Department's refuting claims that the Minister's trying to shield Health MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo from taking blame.
The SA Medical Association said yesterday that somebody needs to be held accountable.
The association says Minister Aaron Motsoaledi is in denial by suggesting the province is not in a crisis.

The department's Joe Maila has reiterated the department's stance that the problem is a result of management and not Dhlomo.
"Everybody has a view on what is happening. Our assessment of the situation is that there's a serious problem in terms of human resources and planning in KZN. The issue of procurement is also a concern for us. That's our analysis of the situation," he says.
Motsoaledi outlined the department's strategy to address the issues facing KZN Health in Durban last week.
