'Politicians personal lives don't affect ability to lead'
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The ANC Women's League in KZN says a politician's personal life is separate to his or her ability to lead.
The organisation made the comment after its Provincial Elective Conference in Durban recently.
It weighed in on the controversy surrounding Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa's alleged affairs.

Ramaphosa has dismissed the allegations as part of a smear campaign against him.
The league's Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu says Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has also been targeted for being President Jacob Zuma's ex-wife.
"Just because she was once married to the current president - it doesn't mean she's not a leader. She's a serious leader who joined the organisation in her own right but because society does not look at her as a leader, she's seen as a woman, society starts looking at who she associates with. We are also worried - we don't accept that young women are used as pawns like in the issue of the deputy president," she said.
