Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Deputy Health Minister Sibongiseni Dhlomo says the partnership between policymakers and scientists is critical in the fight against a pandemic like Covid.
He says scientists and medical professionals are assets to the government.
"We as policymakers depend on scientists so it is a very important partnership to say lets have politicans who will have background in the issues of science and therefore be able to assimilate advice."
