Police scour scene of #DurbanShooting, firearm recovered

A mortuary van has arrived at a building in the Durban CBD where three people, that's two men and one woman, have been shot and killed.
Five other people have been rushed to hospital with injuries.
Earlier, detectives could be seen leaving the building on J.N. Singh Street with a single firearm in an evidence bag.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele has confirmed a metro police officer is among the deceased.
"The police are still busy at the scene. What I can confirm is that amongst the deceased, there was a Metro Police member. The place was his room. Beyond that, we can't comment because, as I'm talking, police are busy at the scene. There are witnesses who heard the shooting but for now, people are critically injured. They are in hospital. We cannot interview them [right now]," Mbele said.
Mbele confirmed that a firearm has been recovered at the scene.
