Police on scene of Clare Road protest
Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter
Police have dispersed protesters who barricaded parts of Durban's Clare Road this morning.

Officers are still on the scene monitoring the situation. The group had used burning tyres to block the roadway earlier.
The unrest follows a shooting incident which left Ndumiso Mnguni wounded yesterday.
Shack dwellers movement, Abahlali beseMjondolo says eThekwini's Anti-Land Invasion Unit opened fire on Mnguni during a demolition at the Foreman Road Settlement.
However, mayoral spokesperson Mthunzi Gumede has slammed the allegations.
"The allegations made by the leader are irresponsible, baseless and unfortunate. We hope that the police will arrest the perpetrators and bring them to book," Gumede said.
