Education authorities say it will take harsh action against a teacher from Pinetown Boys High School who allegedly assaulted a learner with a computer cord.

It's understood the incident happened earlier this week.
Education Spokesperson, Muzi Mahlambi says they have consistently made it clear that corporal punishment is against the law.
"We are disappointed that a school like Pinetown Boys can do this at this day and age. We are investigating the matter. We wil harshly deal with the person in question," he says.
