Police probe launched after Verulam nurse shot dead
Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
A murder investigation has been launched, after a nurse was shot dead outside a clinic in Verulam this morning.

It's understood that the 27-year-old mother-of-one was on her way into work at Oakford Clinic when she was killed.
Reaction Unit South Africa's Prem Balram says their officers responded to the incident.
"A reporter had informed us that she had heard multiple gunshots from the area. On arrival, reaction officers found a silver Kia Rio parked against the fence of the clinic.
Balram says initial investigations revealed that a female was shot in the face, head and arm.
"She was declared deceased a short while later," he said.
