A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a shooting in Pietermaritzburg in which three other men were killed.

Paramedics were called to a home in Imbali on Saturday night.
Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst says they were told the men had been watching a football match in the lounge when a gunman opened fire on them.
"Three of the victims were declared deceased on the scene. The other patient was found in a critical condition and was treated on scene by an advance life support paramedic before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment," said Herbst.
"Circumstances leading up to the shooting are unknown and will be investigated by the SAPS who were on scene."
The motive for the shooting is not yet known.
