Police probe after baby's body found in Durban CBD

The body of a newborn baby has been found dumped in a rubbish bin in Durban.
Paramedics say they removed the baby boy from a bin along Dr Pixley KaSeme Street, the old West Street.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says they were called to the scene earlier.
"A newborn baby had been found in a packet placed in a rubbish bin by a member of the public. Paramedics assessed and found that the child had already died."

Jamieson says police were on scene and will be investigating the exact cause that lead up to the person abandoning the baby in the bin.
