Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
KZN police say while no arrests have yet been made, cases of culpable homicide - as well as reckless and negligent driving, are being investigated after a truck crashed into shoppers in Verulam, north of Durban, on Friday.
According to police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala, the truck driver lost control of his vehicle on Umdloti Beach Road, going through the fence of a supermarket - and then knocking down a woman and two children - aged 13 and 14.
The 23-year old woman died at the scene.

Gwala says the children were injured, and taken to hospital.
"Two other vehicles that were at the parking lot also sustained damages, but fortunately there were no occupants inside the vehicles. Community members mobilized and assaulted the driver; he was taken to hospital for medical attention. Investigations are continuing," she said.
