Police hunting for gang in Amaoti fatal stabbing
Police are searching for a gang that stabbed and killed a 30-year-old man in Amaoti this week.
His friend who was also attacked - is recovering in hospital.
Officers say the man suffered multiple wounds to his upper body during the armed robbery on Monday night, he was found lying near a railway line.
The police's Nqobile Gwala says the friends were walking on Ross Manor Road towards Amaoti - when they were attacked by three men.
"The suspect then stabbed the victims, took their cellphone as well as cash and fled the scene on foot. The other victim was taken to hospital for medical attention. He is still in hospital. We are still searching for the suspect and appealing to anyone who might have information on the suspect involved."
