Police hunt for suspects in Umhlanga Ridge shooting

Police are searching for the suspects involved in the murder of a Phoenix man, gunned down in a parking lot at Gateway Theatre of Shopping.

Kalvin Periasamy was shot multiple times. He was walking to his vehicle, after leaving the gym.
The 30-year-old who was a tow-truck business and security company owner - was declared dead on the scene.
Moments later, distraught family members and tow-truck drivers arrived. Investigators say they're trying to figure out the motive.
In January last year, Periasamy and his brother were among six people arrested after drugs and R97 000 in cash - were found in their possession.

At the time, police told us that the suspects allegedly belonged to the notorious Bloodz gang in Phoenix.
