LISTEN: Police confirm Siwaphiwe's mom arrested in connection with kidnapping

The mother of Siwaphiwe Mbambo - who was found this morning after she went missing following a hijacking in the Durban CBD area on Friday - has been arrested.
Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says Acting National Police Commissioner, Khomotso Phalane, is relieved the baby was found unharmed.

The baby's disappearance sparked massive searches across Durban - with the news later making headlines both locally and internationally.
Baby Siwaphiwe went missing following an apparent hijacking near a shopping centre in the Durban CBD on Friday.
Police offered a reward of R250 000 yesterday - for any information leading to the return of the child.
Siwaphiwe was found in the early hours of this morning - when officers intercepted a vehicle at the Mariannhill Toll plaza.
Currently, three people are in custody - including the mother. Police say a statement will be released shortly, with more information on the arrests.
Meanwhile, Siwaphiwe's father, Felokwakhe Mbambo, says he has yet to see his little girl, and that while the mother is in Durban - he has been back home in Umzinyathi holding the family together.
He's told Newswatch that
he's only been receiving information bit-by-bit.
