Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
The Durban and Coast SPCA has confirmed it is aware of reports of that a Buffelsdraai man was allegedly found having sex with a cat this afternoon.
Reaction Unit South Africa's Prem Balram says his officers were called to the area, near Verulam, this afternoon by the pet owner.
Balram says the woman told them she had heard her cat crying in the home of a man who lives on her property and went to investigate.
"Reaction officers entered the home and found the male lying on his bed. He had cat fur on his bed and on his clothes. He was removed from the premises for his safety after residents in the area threatened to assault him. The SPCA was also called out," Balram said.
