Residents are fearing the worst for their missing mousers.

Morningside resident Michelle Jackson, whose pet 'EB' disappeared a week ago, says she spotted a cat trap meant for ferals in the man's yard while out looking for the 2-year-old rescue cat.

She says she and her husband have both confronted the man but he denies having seen their cat.

"I'm absolutely devastated. He's my baby. My kids keep asking me - my son's at boarding school - mom, have you heard anything? My daughter is at university and she'd say - please mom, how is our baby and has he come home? These are our children, and our family," Jackson said.
