Police arrest lawyer in Senzo Meyiwa murder trial
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
Dramatic scenes have played out in the High Court in Pretoria where the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is being heard.

Defence advocate Malesela Teffo, who represents four of the accused in the trial, was arrested shortly after Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela adjourned proceedings for the day.
A group of police officers arrived to take him away, with one of them telling Teffo they have a warrant for his arrest for apparently missing a court appearance on a separate matter.

In videos taken by reporters, Teffo is heard asking the officers why they are only carrying it out now if the warrant was issued in January.
When members of the media ask the advocate why he's being arrested, he replied that it's because he's in the Meyiwa trial and suggests people in high places are involved in a cover-up.
Teffo was then handcuffed and led out of the courtroom.
