Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
A Ballito woman accused of drowning her young daughter has been remanded in custody.
She appeared in the KwaDukuza Magistrates' Court on Thursday on a charge of murder.
It's alleged she tied up the four-year-old child's hands before submerging her in a bucket of water on Tuesday.
The woman had apparently complained the girl was troublesome.

The matter has been postponed to next week for a bail consideration.
KZN Childline Director Adheshini Naicker says they are deeply troubled by the murder.
"We are absolutely heartbroken to hear of the incident especially in light of all that we do to create education and awareness against this.
"We are also approaching Child Protect Week and we have to ask ourselves what are we doing wrong and what can we do differently."
