PMB pupil accused to torching principal's car returns to court

A 17-year-old Pietermaritzburg pupil has appeared in court in connection with the torching of a principal's car.
The Grade 10 pupil from Northbury Park Secondary School allegedly set fire to the vehicle last week after his cellphone was confiscated.

He is facing charges of malicious damage to school property.
"The learner was released on warning, into the custody of a guardian," says KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara.

"The matter returns to court tomorrow [Thursday], 15 September 2022 for an appearance in the District Court.”
