Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
It's been over a week since a two-year-old girl was allegedly abducted at a Pietermaritzburg mall.

Her mother is now making a desperate appeal for her safe return.
It's alleged Kenya Sophie was with her father and another known woman at the mall last week Saturday.
Her mother, Ramona Sophie, says she's been told that he left the child with the woman in the mall's parking lot so that he could buy a few items.

Sophie says he claims when he returned, they were missing.
"We just have hope, making sure that we pray every day, making sure we are on the streets every day. I'm not sleeping, I'm on every corner searching."
"I haven't slept for seven days, I've been on the road. I'm waiting for her, I'm looking for her."
KZN police say a case of kidnapping has been opened for investigation.
