Glebelands violence 'seemingly regenerated' - Cele

Police Minister, Bheki Cele has called on KZN detectives to work with speed in finding those behind a mass murder case in the south of Durban.
Seven people were shot and killed at Umlazi's Glebelands Hostel yesterday.

Cele says he thought the criminality and murders at the hostel had ended.
"We thought we had sorted Glebelands, remember that early this year, eight people were given life sentences in Glebelands, who in 2011 were killing people.
"It does seem these criminals have regenerated and they keep coming."
KZN MEC for Community Safety Sipho Hlomuka has urged the community of uMlazi to work closely with the police to find the perpetrators responsible for the killings
In a statement, MEC Hlomuka says the motive for the heinous killing is a subject of an investigation by a high-level team already hunting down the suspects.
He says it's unacceptable that the notorious Glebelands hostel is once again dominating the headlines for the wrong reasons despite the serious work that has been done in stabilising the hostel.
