Planned water cuts for Ndwedwe Municipality
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
Residents and businesses in the Ndwedwe Local Municipality on KwaZulu-Natal's north coast can expect water cuts from this morning.
The water cuts are to allow technicians to upgrade pumps in the eMahlabathini area.
The Ndwedwe Local Municipality released a statement yesterday informing communities that the water cuts will be implemented from today.
The statement said that water supply is scheduled to be back to normal by Thursday. Officials say even though the actual work time of the upgrade is only 12-hours, the system will need at least three days to return to normal.

Wards 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18 and 19 will be affected.
The municipality has apologised for any inconvenience the water cuts might cause local residents and businesses. It is urging people to be patient during the course of the upgrade.
