Pinetown taxi driver gunned down in full view of passengers

A taxi driver's been gunned down and two others wounded in a shooting in Pinetown.
Police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says a fully loaded minibus taxi was travelling in the CBD on Friday morning when a bakkie began to follow it.
She says the bakkie overtook the taxi and then blocked it.
"Suddenly, two males jumped out of the bakkie and fired shots at the driver. The driver, who is 25 years old, sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead at the scene."

"A 45-year-old passenger sustained a gunshot wound on the leg and another motorist who drove past the area sustained gunshot wounds in the eye and the body.
"Both injured victims were taken to hospital for medical attention. Charges of murder and attempted murder were opened for investigation at Pinetown SAPS."
