PICS: Grade R, Grade 1 pupils' first day at school
It's an exciting time for parents and pupils in KZN and across the country who have started their first day at 'big school.'
Lessons kick off today, marking the official start of the 2018 academic year.
It has been an emotional day for some parents who dropped their little ones off at school while teachers have prepared weeks in advance for the first term.
Newswatch spoke to local schools, Cornerstone Remedial School, in Durban North and Durban Primary School about their expectations for the year ahead.
These Durban parents say it is a big step for their first-timers.
