PHOTOS: Snowfall on the Berg as cold front grips KZN

Some mountains in the Drakensberg and Lesotho have been covered with a blanket of snow, as the cold front sees temperatures drop in the province.

A cold front has brought chilly conditions to South African, including parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape and Western Cape this weekend.

There is also a 60 percent chance of showers across KwaZulu-Natal.

The South African Weather Service says maximum temperatures today are likely to remain below 20 degrees at most stations in the provnce.

Durban has a predicted high of 20 degrees, Richards Bay 21 and Pietermaritzburg 15.

Forecasters say snow is expected on the mountains near Underberg, Kokstad and Royal National Park.

East Coasters are in for another wet and chilly day tomorrow.

Morning rain is expected over most of the province, with maximum temperatures remaining in the teens.
