PHOTOS: Biker killed in Bluff crash

Authorities are investigating the cause of a collision in
which a biker was killed on the Bluff, south of Durban.

A bike and another vehicle crashed at the corner of Lighthouse Road and Ulster Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and found the badly damaged bike still lying on the roadway.
Rescue Care paramedics assessed the biker, believed to be in his 40s, when they arrived at the scene. He had sustained major injuries and was declared dead.
The driver of the other vehicle escaped with only minor injuries.
He was treated at the scene by medics.
The cause of the crash is still unknown at this stage.

Meanwhile, a man was killed after a delivery van and a car collided in Newlands West Avenue, north of the city on Friday night.
An 8-year-old girl sustained fatal injuries after being struck in Avoca, also near Durban North, on Friday afternoon. Paramedics treated her at the scene, tragically though she passed away en route to hospital.
