KwaZulu-Natal police are appealing for help in tracking down a 26-year-old suspect, wanted in connection with the murder of a local councillor.

Kwazikwakhe Everlasting Mkhize was shot dead while returning from a meeting at Enkanyezini, near KwaDabeka, last August.
Police spokesperson, Jay Naicker says the detectives working on the case spotted the suspect - Msawenkosi Thabani Ndimande - in the area in October and attempted to apprehend him but he opened fire on them and sped off.
"There were three other occupants with him and as a result of fleeing from the police, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed. One of the occupants passed away while the other two passengers sustained injuries due to the crash.
Naicker said the suspect managed to escape during the shootout with police.
