Siblings, Pradyumna (34) and Prishni Harisuran (30) died after the blaze broke out in their Clayfield home on Sunday.

While the incident is still under investigation, the fire's believed to have started in the lounge.

Ward councillor Michelle Lutchmen visited the family on Monday.

She said the siblings suffered from smoke inhalation.

"When we went there, we went upstairs. Everything is melted, you know, [when] plastic is in the heat. It's just melted."

Lutchmen says the heartbroken mother will lay both her children to rest on Wednesday.

"She's asked for answers. She hasn't got answers from police, paramedics, and the investigators. She doesn't know herself how the fire started and what happened.

"But the community or some people have put out a statement to stay that there was a cell phone charging. In fact, they were busy renovating their house. They were actually preparing for the yearly ceremony for her husband, for the dad."
