Phoenix mother gunned down at home

A woman has been shot and killed at her home in Phoenix, north of Durban.
Officers from KZN VIP Protection Services say they raced to Redfern Drive on Thursday, where they found the 30-year-old with gunshot wounds.
It's alleged she was shot by a known suspect.
Her 10-year-old son called for help.
The woman was declared dead by paramedics.
Police were still at the scene by lunchtime on Thursday.

At the same time, KZN VIP Protection Services says another person was killed in a separate incident in Wisecroft in Phoenix.
They say a man living alone was found dead with multiple stab wounds.
Family members and the police found him.
A suspect known to the family has been arrested.
