Lengthy sentences for men who murdered KZN farmer
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
There's been some justice for a KwaZulu-Natal farmer who was murdered four years ago.

Two men are now serving the lengthy sentences they were handed on Friday by the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
Bethwell Mthembu and Bhekizizwe Mchunu were earlier convicted for killing Peter Scott on his farm on the outskirts of Creighton in 2018.
KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara says they went to the property armed with a firearm and knives to rob the couple.
She says they forced themselves into the house and shot the husband while tying up his wife.

They then ransacked the house and took laptops, money and cellphones.
Their co-accused Moses Mthembu has since died during the trial.
"Mthembu was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, five years for housebreaking with intent to rob, 15 years for robbery, and eight years for unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition.
“Mchunu was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for housebreaking with intent to rob, 15 years for robbery and 30 years for murder."
