Persistent rainfall, thundershowers over parts of KZN today

We are being told to brace ourselves for more downpours today.

It's been a wet and cold day in most parts of KwaZulu-Natal since this morning.
The South African Weather Services say residents in Pietermaritzburg, Ladysmith, Underberg, Margate, Ixopo and Durban can expect thundershowers and rain this afternoon and tonight.

Forecaster, Ayanda Ntsele said: "Over KZN for today, we are expecting 50 percent chance of showers and thundershowers.
"It's been raining since early this morning along the coast between Margate and Durban and we are expecting that rain to persist throughout the day and more storms to come through over the rest of KZN this afternoon.
"We have no alerts for today and the weekend. Towards Saturday and Sunday, there is no rainfall expected over KZN."
