PICS: Multiple collisions on Durban's M7 resulting in road closure
There's chaos on the M7 Durban-bound, with paramedics attending to multiple collisions.
ALS paramedic Garrith Jamieson says there've been more than four major incidents between the main road off-ramp and the Bellville off-ramp in the area.
Jamieson says they have treated 12 people for minor to moderate injuries.
"The first incident occurred on the M7 Durban-bound before Bellville, while emergency personnel were on scene a major collision occurred behind them involving approximately ten vehicles.
"Whilst paramedics made their way through to that scene, a third collision occurred between multiple vehicles and a motorbike."
"There are multiple injuries on scene and more resources have been dispatched to assist as well as more Metro Police and SAPS. The Adverse weather has caused the roads to be extremely slippery and I would advise all motorists to avoid this area."
