Pedestrian dies in N2 crash while fleeing robbers
A man has been killed on the N2 in Durban - apparently while running away from robbers.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says he was hit by a car near the KwaMashu turn-off.
"A man had been attacked by robbers and then ran across the road when he was hit by a motor vehicle. Paramedics founds him lying on the road with extensive injuries. Tragically, he passed away at the scene due to the very severe injuries he had sustained," he said.

Botha says it's the second such incident they've attended to in a space of a few weeks where pedestrians have been involved in accidents while trying to get away from attackers.
Police are investigating.
