Passenger kicked off FlySafair flight after refusing to wear a mask
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
FlySafair says the COVID-19 safety rules won't be bent for any passenger.
A man was offloaded from one of the airline's flights on Saturday for refusing to wear a mask.
The flight was preparing to take off from Johannesburg for Durban. It had been taxing when it had to turn back to the terminal.

FlySafair's Kirby Gordon says the passenger was handed over to the police.
"At the point that he was on the aircraft, he refused to wear it when he was sitting down. In order to move through the airport, ACSA is quite strict the requirements to put on a mask. So presumably he was wearing a mask at the entry through the airport.
"He did have a mask with him as I understand, but it was on the aircraft itself when he refused to wear it. Its just as much as somebody lighting a cigarette in the aircraft would be a safety violation so to somebody not wearing a mask."
