Updated | By ECR Newswatch
"We expect that the president will do the right thing."
This is according to Minister of Finance, Malusi Gigaba - speaking to CNN following yesterday's announcement that President Jacob Zuma is being recalled by the ANC.
President Zuma was today expected to deliver his response to the country - however, Gigaba has warned that Parliament will step in should the president refuse to resign.
Addressing the media at Luthuli House yesterday - ANC secretary general, Ace Magashule said ANC president, Cyril Ramaphosa would replace Zuma and assume the position of acting head of state.

Ramaphosa will consequently deliver the State of the Nation Address.
As South Africans wait for word from the president, the Presidency has issued a statement saying there's no official communication issued on a media briefing today as widely reported.
Gigaba said on CNN If Zuma doesn’t resign by 10:00 today the ANC will vote him out in parliament with its 62% majority and the ANC is certain of that outcome.
