Parents unhappy with bail decision in Durban teacher's case
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
The parents of a 14-year-old Durban school girl, said to have been sexually groomed by her teacher, say they are worried he might try and contact their daughter.
The teacher apparently sent explicit pictures and images to the girl.
He was released on R 6000 bail yesterday by the Durban Magistrate's Court.
The court also stipulated that the accused must relocate from his home and must not communicate with or interfere with the family members of the complainant. He's also required to report weekly to the Bluff police station.

The father of the pupil says they are not happy with the court's outcome.
"Our desire is for our daughter to be protected and for this person to be stopped from any kind of advances and abuse against any other children. Him being let out into the public again is a cause for concern because, I now have to be extra careful. I do not know if he will try to [defy] any of the protection order stipulations," he said.
The teacher is due to appear again in court at the end of next month.
