PAPPI hosts fuel march in Durban

Activists demanding a decrease in fuel prices will today march to the Durban City Hall.
The march - which will take off from King Dinuzulu Park - will be led by the People Against Petrol and Paraffin Price Increases.
PAPPPI's Visvin Reddy says they expect eThekwini Mayor, Zandile Gumede to receive their memorandum of demands on behalf of the Energy Department.

"We have asked that the mayor receive our memorandum and submit it to the Minister of Energy. Our demand is that we want a moratorium to be placed on petrol price increases - that there should be no increases.
"We have in the meantime suspended all meetings with officials from government until we get a clear undertaking from government that there'll be no increase while we negotiate with them," he said.
