Over a dozen children hurt in Durban morning crashes
Updated | By Natarah Nadesan
There have been two crashes involving school children on KZN roads this morning - leaving one child in a critical condition.
In the first incident, on the Berea, three cars collided at the corner of Sydenham and Botanic Gardens Roads, leaving 16 children, aged between 10 and 14 hurt.
A Grade 3 boy is fighting for his life in hospital.
"On the first ambulance's arrival, they immediately called for more assistance as multiple children had been injured in the collision. One child sustained critical injuries and was placed on a manual ventilator by advance life support paramedics before being rushed through to a nearby Durban hospital," Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson said.
