eThekwini has now also stopped the water supply through the emergency pipeline from Nyaninga Reservoir to the Tongaat South Reservoir until further notice.

Resident Teddy Naidoo says if no solution is found they will have no choice but to return to the streets.
"The residents are now up in arms and I've been talking to them as well. This is what I said to the Minister, all we crying for is running water in our taps.
"He assured me that it's going to happen, they will work 24/7 but at the same time there's no water in the taps and now there's contanimination. The residents aer saying this is wrong, we are going to strike again."
