Orient Hills man killed in shooting attack

A man has been killed and another left injured in a shooting incident in Orient Hills, south of Durban.

Paramedics say initial reports from the scene suggest that the man was jumping into his car on Thursday morning when he was approached by unknown suspects who opened fire.
PT Tactical Unit and Ambulance Service spokesperson, Dhevan Govindasamy says when they arrived on the scene, they found that the man has sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Govindasamy says he had already died by the time they got there. He also describes how the second man was left injured.
"In the flat that the deceased lived [in], a few metres away, a man around 40-years-old, opened the front door to investigate the noise outside, when one of the stray bullets penetrated the front door ricocheted off the wall and exited through his right arm.
"He was treated by PT paramedics and taken to a nearby hospital."
