ACDP leader, Kenneth Meshoe says he’s especially pleased by President Cyril Ramaphosa's plans to reduce the size of his cabinet.

Detailing his response to the State of the Nation Address, Meshoe said this would free up government money which can then be used for programs to benefit the poor.
"The ACDP is pleased that the president has started on the right note. He has hit the ground running. We will support him to ensure that South Africa becomes a winner," Meshoe says.

EFF leader, Julius Malema says the party is more than willing to give Ramaphosa a chance to prove himself.
"We want a debate in Parliament, we want a Parliament which will discuss issues of national importance. Our problem with the delinquent was that he was not honourable enough to sit in this Parliament. Now, we have an honourable president who is ready to work for our people. Let's give him a chance," Malema says.
