Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube will deliver her inaugural address at the Oval Cricket Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Friday.

"We have hardly yet recovered. Our economy is in decline, jobs are being shed," says DA KZN leader, Francois Rodgers.

"I think most importantly, we want to hear about a recovery plan that can actually influence. The time for talking and putting forward proposals is over.

"We need a clear plan and a way forward as to how to deal with the socio-economic challenges in our province, the economic decline and the job losses we currently face in the province."

ActionSA leader Zwakele Mncwago says they want the premier to address the hot-button issues of rolling blackouts and corruption.

"Areas of forensic investigations and recommendations being implemented. Also, we are hoping the premier will also talk about steps s the province will take in dealing with issues of lifestyle audit of officials and politicians in government and also the issue of load shedding.

"We want to hear the premier talking about how load shedding is affecting the economy and also the province, whether it is prepared to go with independent power producers."
