Only a few hours to submit tax returns
If you have not yet submitted your tax returns you have until 5pm today to walk into any SARS branch or until midnight tonight if using e-filing to meet the deadline.
The revenue service says on average about 24 000 submissions per day have been recorded in the last few weeks and so far around 4 million combined submissions have been made.
SARS's Sandile Memela says there is still a chance for those who have yet to submit to do so.
''We are confident that South Africans will make use of this chance as it is their last chance for them to give to the state what is due to the state, because they are citizens who appreciate and understand that paying your tax is the highest form of patriotism,'' he said.
