One killed in truck-car crash in Durban

One person has died in a horror crash involving a car two trucks along Bellair Road near Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital.

Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says a second person - a woman who'd been trapped in the wreckage has finally been freed.
"On scene, we have two trucks and one car that have been involved in the collision. At this stage, one person from the light motor vehicle has declared deceased on the scene. A second person was severely entrapped in the wreckage," he says.

Jamieson says Bellair Road is currently closed until further notice.
"Two trucks have also been involved in the collision, one is lying on it's side. The entire Bellair Road is closed from both directions whilst emergency services are working to clear the scene," he says.
