One killed in N3 truck crash, road closed

One person has been killed after two petrol tankers collided on the N3 north - just before the Mooi River Toll Plaza.
UPDATE: The accident scene on the N3 - heading towards Johannesburg - near the Mooi River Plaza has been cleared.
The Road Traffic Inspectorate says the crash caused a petrol spillage - leading to a closure of the route in that vicinity.
Zinhle Mngomezulu the cause of the accident isn't known at this stage. Authorities are on scene.
"We're diverting traffic at Nottingham Road on the R103 and back to the freeway by Nottingham Road. Can they just shy away from the freeway and make use of the R103, Nottingham Road and back to the freeway by Hidcote," she says.

Meanwhile, an investigation's underway into a collision that claimed the lives of three people on the P200 route near Port Shepstone.
Two others were seriously hurt in the Gamalakhe crash involving two vehicles yesterday.
