One killed in Chatsworth drive-by shooting

Investigations are underway after one person
was killed in what appears to have been a drive-by shooting in Chatsworth,
south of Durban.

The attack happened on Higginson Highway on Thursday morning.
Although the details aren't clear, reports are that the gunmen opened fire on three people in a car near the Crossmoor off-ramp.
They then fled in their bakkie.

"There was one guy who was shot multiple times, and another 18-year-old guy was shot in his leg. The driver succumbed to his injuries with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was declared deceased on the scene," said Siven Subramodey from Amawele Emergency Services.
"The two staff members were transported rapidly. They were treated and stabilised on scene by Amawele medics, and they were transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required."
